Introduction Gadsden is an industrial city in Etowah County.. The city was named after James D. Gadsden, friend of settler John S. Morague. Also called the “Double Springs,” Gadsden is situated on the Coosa River, in the foothills of the Appalachians.
Gadsden is located at 34°0'37?N, 86°0'37?W (34.010147, -86.01035).
Elevation is 545 feet.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total
area of 96.3 km² (37.2 mi²). 93.2 km² (36.0 mi²) of it is land and 3.1 km² (1.2 mi²) of it (3.25%) is water.
Population: in 2003, was 37,619.

tourist attractions of the city.
