Introduction Alabama is ranked 23rd among the 50 states of United States and is located in the southeastern region. It is the 22nd state which was admitted to the union in 1819. The foundation of Alabama is Alabama’s constitution which was ratified in 1901 and contains 800 amendments and 31,000 words and is approximately forty times the length of United States constitution. There is no power in the local hands as the Alabama government is totally based upon the Alabama constitution. Approval of the any policy in Alabama is first done by the legislation and then changes are made. The Alabama is divided into three branches the Legislative branch is known as the Alabama Legislation responsible for writing, debating, passing or defeating the state legislation, a bicameral assembly composed of Alabama House of Representatives contains 105 members, and the Alabama Senate containing 35 members. Oversight and execution of law is done by the executive branch which is headed by the Governor of Alabama. It also consists of the cabinet, the Attorney general of Assembly, the Alabama state secretary the Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industry, the Alabama state treasury, and the state auditor of Alabama. Interpretation in constitution and amendment of new lays is done by the Jurisdiction branch. The Supreme Court is the highest court in the state Alabama.
